My blog on the history of how Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park came to be found me on a local history kick. It resulted in one of my first efforts, prompted by a local descendent of a significant founding family from Marietta who was running a quasi-entertainment / revenue-generating Facebook Page called “Old Marietta” where he posted old photos and articles, often times with detailed write-ups on the history associated with what was shown in the photo.
